My work revolves around the intertwining of space, time, and movement, and is the result of my ongoing investigation into perceptual processes. The simulation of three-dimensional form on a flat surface, the folds, and displacements; all forming the basis of my abstract painting practice. Solid manifestations that represent the immaterial, and reflect a deep interest in the way the different elements behave and interact: how its color converses, its allusions, its spatial shifts and playful way. Apparently still, the form won’t stop moving or settle into one reading. In the process, I explore the idea of a dynamic and relative vision, which underscores the impossibility of establishing a single, absolute point of view, thus provoking the gaze and encouraging it to adopt a potentially new way of seeing.
